Burnaby Children’s Choir-Key of Harmony
The Burnaby District Children’s Choir-Key of Harmony is made up of grade 1-4 students and is under the direction of Ryan Phelps. Joan MacLean is their accompanist and Vanessa Fer is the concert’s manager. This auditioned choir encompasses children from grades one to four who are enrolled in a Burnaby public school. Students must be recommended for the choir by their music teacher and love to sing. The Burnaby Children’s Choir rehearses every Thursday after school at Gilmore Elementary School. For more information, please contact, Ryan Phelps at: ryan.phelps@sd41.bc.ca or Vanessa Fer at vanessa.fer@sd41.bc.ca.
Auditions will take place on September 30, 2014 from 3:30-5:30 at Gilmore Elementary. Children need to be first auctioned at the school level before being invited to the district audition. Talk to your school music teacher for more details.
We will be sending audition forms out the the elementary school music teachers in early September. Music teachers will then give their recommendations to the choir via handing out the notice. Music teachers will also sign the form stating their support of that student auditioning for the choir.
